How can you tell if an escort hates her job?

 

Whether you are a guy visiting escorts regularly, a newcomer, or even a sex worker with years of experience in the industry, this article will undoubtedly interest you. I’m willing to bet that you, the clients, have encountered situations like this: "She’s physically present, but her mind is elsewhere." And you, the escorts, may have found yourself thinking: "What the hell am I doing here?" Without realizing it, situations arose that were clear signs the sex worker would have preferred to be somewhere else or simply couldn't hide her detachment or even her dislike for the job. In fact, appearances aside, many escorts hate their job (and/or, paradoxically, hate men in general) and are certainly pursing it for the wrong reasons. Here are six easy-to-spot signs that will help you recognize them quickly.

 

1. Her communication is curt, vulgar, distant, and/or aggressive.

Many escorts are unpleasant, whether on the phone or in person (before, during, or after an appointment). It’s often not a matter of personality, as they can be perfectly friendly with friends, family, or other strangers. However, their attitude changes when dealing with the men who come to see them. They may try to be kind and pleasant, but it doesn't work or at least not for long; they simply can't help it. Some clients go ahead anyway, captivated by their beauty, but many won't return for a second visit.

 

2. Her service is mediocre, but she doesn't care!

Some escorts have no intention of providing good service. They are just passing through, and especially if they are young and stunning; they know very well that the "fish" will have no trouble biting the hook, regardless of the quality of the service! When they choose this path to make quick money, quality doesn't matter; the goal isn't to get the client to return, but to get him to spend as much as possible in a single visit before moving on to the next one. Unlike the aggressive type, this kind of escort is very pleasant (both on the phone and in person) and knows exactly how to use her charms. The problem is that the service often doesn't match the ad (some won't even let you touch them, acting as if you’re only allowed to admire them from afar), and she will, of course, make sure to disable the option that allows clients to leave a review!

 

3. She monopolizes your time… to talk only about herself.

Those of you who see escorts regularly have surely encountered a girl like this at some point. You might have come to see her for an hour, for instance, only for her to commandeer that time to talk exclusively about herself for the first 30 to 40 minutes. You barely got a word in edgewise and were forced to listen to her misfortunes and problems (health, mental, financial, family, or friendship issues…) that were none of your business and held no interest for you. She is physically present but would rather be elsewhere. She uses her problems as an excuse (as if no one else had any) hoping to trigger your empathy so you won’t hold it against her for charging you 300 CHF, barely undressing, and then asking you to pay for an extra hour if you want to stay longer. She is the type of escort who clearly has no desire for intimacy with you, yet would never think of refunding your money to compensate for the fact that she actually provided no service…

 

4. She is mechanical

An escort who acts like a robot with you, without letting a shred of emotion show, is not a girl who enjoys the job. She has turned her movements, her lines, and her service into a routine. Generally, she is a nice, rather reserved girl who has been in the industry for years; her service isn't necessarily bad. It simply lacks spontaneity, authenticity, finesse, and substance.

 

5. The one who never smiles

Whether in her photos or in person, this escort never smiles. It is hard to create a warm atmosphere with a stranger when you are incapable of smiling, or when a forced smile is painfully obvious. Sometimes she manages to smile, yet her body language often betrays her and contradicts that expression. This generally creates a sense of awkwardness, which the client picks up on; finding it difficult, in turn, to know how to position themselves during the encounter.

 

6. The one who badmouths the sex industry

There are plenty of escorts like this. They will never say anything positive about their work or the industry, even though they have been working in it for years and have no immediate plans to leave. Slightly older than the average escort, these women have nothing but criticism for the scene; they will often vent their hatred of the industry to you without you even asking. They will talk about the clients (all perverts, in their view), the other escorts (all bitches, in their view), the apartment managers (all profiteers, in their view), the money she earns (never enough, in her view)... In short, these escorts radiate a negativity you could well do without.

 

What is the takeaway here?

I haven’t covered every single possibility, but naturally, there are many other signs that a sex worker hates her job. Is this a normal feeling? I can’t really say. However, I do believe that when you can no longer stand your job, you should change it rather than staying on reluctantly. In this regard, escorts are certainly not unique. Indeed, a 2024 study reveals that between 12% and 24% of workers across all sectors say they hate their jobs, while 50% to 87% report feeling disengaged or demotivated by certain aspects of their work...

Fortunately, not all escorts hate their job, but far too many do (some will even fall into addiction of drugs or alcohol in order to better cope with what they hate doing). If there is one key takeaway here, it is that appearances in the sex industry can be deceptive, especially when it comes to independent escorts. However, with a little observation and common sense, you can steer clear of women who display a hostile attitude toward the industry; such people are unlikely to deliver service that lives up to their promises (after all, their ads always guarantee a "magical" experience) or meets your expectations...
